Mike received his doctoral training in Counseling Psychology at Brigham Young University and completed his internship at the Baylor University Counseling Center located in Waco, Texas. Mike works with individuals who have experienced a wide variety of concerns including: depression, anxiety, stress management, trauma, abuse, relationship distress, identity development, phase of life transitions, sexual identity, pornography use, disordered eating, self-worth, addictive behaviors, and concerns related to spiritual and religious identity.

Mike has experience with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. He takes an integrative approach to therapy to create an authentic and empathetic therapeutic relationship that serves as a critical factor for change. Mike holds a theistic worldview, and he strives to understand and respect the unique experiences of the individuals he meets with.

Mike loves to be with his family and friends, creating meaningful memories from new adventures. He enjoys participating in and following his favorite sports, especially basketball. He has a love of learning and looks for opportunities for growth in both his personal and professional activities.
