Julia is passionate about supporting clients through life’s emotional ups and downs, helping individuals process trauma, and creating a welcoming, inclusive space for people of all backgrounds and identities. With a background in psychology and clinical mental health counseling, she brings an empathetic, client-focused approach to therapy. Julia integrates techniques from Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play and expressive arts therapies, and other evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs with care and flexibility.

Julia believes therapy is a collaborative and healing journey. She works with children as young as two, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, self-harm, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, perfectionism, relationship challenges, divorce, and major life transitions. She draws from attachment-based, somatic, and creative approaches, including child-centered and attachment play therapy, filial therapy, expressive arts, EFIT, the Gottman Method, ACT, and multicultural counseling to help clients foster resilience, healing, and self-compassion.

Julia is a Level Two EFIT provider, has Level One training in the Gottman Method, holds a Youth Mental Health Specialist Certification, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level Two. She also has a strong interest in supporting children’s emotional development, family systems, and clients working through complex grief or cultural identity challenges.

Outside of work, Julia enjoys conducting research, spending time with family and friends, and being with her dogs. She finds joy in creating art, being outdoors, and exploring new places whenever she can.
