Jamal received his Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He has over a decade of experience working with adults and adolescents in psychiatric residential settings and outpatient settings.

Jamal works with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, behavioral or emotional issues, suicidality, self-harm, grief and loss, and pornography. He is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based orientations, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Jamal wants you to have the best relationship with the things in your life that you value most. Relationships are one of his guiding principles in how he engages with individuals in the therapeutic process. He hopes to create a safe and inclusive space for you.

In his free time, he loves spending time with his family, mountain biking, hiking, listening to some good music, and cooking.
