Malia Arnell Biography
Malia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her Master’s of Social Work from Boise State University. Her passion and expertise is working with both children and adolescents as they navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, suicidality, self-harm, past and present traumas, ADHD, LGBTQ+ as well as other life challenges. Malia is also qualified to treat adults and works with a client-centered approach and incorporates other modalities such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused, Mindfulness and Trauma-focused. By using a client-centered approach Malia aims to meet clients with where they are and empower them to get to where they want to be.
Malia loves to spend time taking adventures with her husband, especially tropical destinations. She loves to be active and grew up as a dancer. She is an avid reader and movie watcher. Malia grew up in small-town rural Idaho and loves to be outside, just not on a hiking trail.

Vanessa Boody Biography
Vanessa received her Master of Social Work from Brigham Young University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Vanessa has experience working with children, teenagers, and adults facing a variety of emotional and mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, attachment concerns, ADHD, perinatal/postpartum mood disorders, life transitions, and trauma.
Her training includes the use of modalities such as CBT (Cognitive behavior therapy), DBT (dialectic behavior therapy), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), IFS (internal family systems), mindfulness, play therapy, and trauma-focused/trauma-informed therapy. Vanessa takes a client-centered approach to meet individuals where they are and strives to help them feel more hopeful and empowered to face the challenges of life and ultimately find peace and healing.
Some of Vanessa’s favorite things include being with her daughter and watching her learn and grow, cooking and spending time with her husband, playing and watching sports, reading, and playing piano. As a native of northern Minnesota, she also loves the outdoors and being at the lake.

Rachelle Carter Biography
Rachelle is currently a Clinical Mental Health intern. She is working on her license through Rocky Mountain University of Health Sciences. She holds a Masters degree from the University of Phoenix in School Counseling. She has been a school counselor the last seven years at Timpview High School. Rachelle focuses on CBT, anxiety, and depression. She loves working with all ages, especially teenagers.
Rachelle is from Alaska and loves the outdoors. She loves to ski, camp, swim, hike, read, and cook. Rachelle believes that making connections and developing a therapeutic relationship are key to client success.
Shawn Edgington, Ph.D.

Shawn Edgington Biography
Shawn completed a Bachelor’s degree and Ph. D. in Psychology from BYU. He is a Licensed Psychologist and has worked in the mental health field for 30 years.
He specializes in treating the following clinical issues: depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, abuse recovery, various addictions (particularly sexual addictions), phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, at-risk teenagers and parenting strategies. He believes that the therapeutic relationship is the critical factor in the success of the therapy experience.
He loves the outdoors, particularly fly fishing (dry flies), camping, hiking, hunting and being with his family. As a father of seven and a husband of 17 years, Shawn brings firsthand knowledge of healthy relationships into the therapeutic process.

Work Experience
Becca received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Utah Valley University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She is an LGBTQ+-Affirmative therapist who utilizes a client-centered approach to help people build self-compassion, mindfulness skills, and secure attachment in their relationships.
Becca believes that growth and healing come from cultivating healthy relationships with both yourself and others. She works with couples and individuals navigating various challenges, such as relational distress, anxiety, depression, self-worth, trauma, faith transitions, suicidality, and self-harm. She is fully trained in EMDR and uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Sandtray Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.
Becca prefers spending all her free time with her family, and she loves finding a cozy place to curl up with a book or her latest knitting project. She also enjoys game nights, lazy beach days, and learning how to bake.

Dan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Utah Valley University, a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah, a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Utah, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Dan has experience working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, faith crises/transitions, relationship issues, and pornography. He believes there is a purpose in everything that we do and in everything that happens to us. “As soon as we are able to find meaning in suffering, then the suffering is over.” A big part of his approach is helping you let go — to really feel what you need to feel from your past, and then to find the meaning to help you move forward. He has a lot of good experience helping people discover what their purpose is by building self-worth, as well as helping people let go of their pain. He believes that our light doesn’t shine based on how positively we think, but rather on how much of our past darkness we embrace. Ultimately, Dan sees his job as helping you find you.
In his free time, Dan enjoys watching movies, doing puzzles, playing video games, listening to podcasts, and hanging out with his amazing wife.

Jen received her Masters of Social Work from Brigham Young University and is a licensed clinical social worker. She has worked with adults and adolescents in both residential and outpatient settings.
Jen has worked with individuals and families as they seek to navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, attachment issues, trauma, autism, nonverbal learning disability, ADHD, and life transitions. Jen takes a client-centered approach to therapy with her clients while also using modalities of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness techniques, and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Jen truly seeks to see the best in everyone she has the pleasure of working with and loves being able to offer support and tools to her clients.
Jen grew up in Utah Valley and loves spending time in the mountains. Her favorite things are traveling, singing, playing the piano, spoiling her nieces and nephews, and spending time with her husband.

Caleb Jones Biography
Caleb received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from BYU and a Master’s Degree from the University of Denver. Caleb takes a client-centered approach and works to make therapy personalized and something that works of you. He has experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, learning disability, autism, PTSD, trauma, substance use, ADHD. Caleb also welcomes those who identify with LGBTQI+. He has worked with domestic violence survivors in Utah shelters and transitional living. He is trained in trauma informed therapy, motivational interviewing, cultural humility, solution focused brief therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
His philosophy on therapy is one of collaboration. He is open and accepting of all beliefs, attitudes, and perspectives.
Caleb grew up in Utah and loves movies, game nights, and is always trying to find time to get to the nearest beach with a view of the ocean. He’s also a first-time dad trying to figure out all the unpredictabilities parenthood continually presents.

Mike received his doctoral training in Counseling Psychology at Brigham Young University and completed his internship at the Baylor University Counseling Center located in Waco, Texas. Mike works with individuals who have experienced a wide variety of concerns including: depression, anxiety, stress management, trauma, abuse, relationship distress, identity development, phase of life transitions, sexual identity, pornography use, disordered eating, self-worth, addictive behaviors, and concerns related to spiritual and religious identity.
Mike has experience with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. He takes an integrative approach to therapy to create an authentic and empathetic therapeutic relationship that serves as a critical factor for change. Mike holds a theistic worldview, and he strives to understand and respect the unique experiences of the individuals he meets with.
Mike loves to be with his family and friends, creating meaningful memories from new adventures. He enjoys participating in and following his favorite sports, especially basketball. He has a love of learning and looks for opportunities for growth in both his personal and professional activities.

Garn Loveland completed a Bachelor of Science at BYU, a Masters in Physical Therapy through Baylor University, and a Masters in Counseling and Guidance at BYU. He is a veteran of 8 years of service in the US Army. He had a private counseling practice in Oregon for several years.
Garn very much enjoys meeting new people and helping them “put together the pieces of the puzzle” of their lives. He has experience dealing with depression, anxiety, addictions, PTSD, chronic pain, and relationship issues. He has worked with sex offenders and with survivors of sexual abuse. Garn employs a variety of techniques, including cognitive reframing, empathy and reflective listening, reality/choice therapy, and motivational interviewing.
He and his wife AuraLee, through raising six children and helping dozens of foster children, are very familiar with parenting, foster parenting, and adoptive parenting issues. As a physical therapist, Garn knows the physical and mental health benefits of exercise and enjoys walking, biking, hiking, and various sports activities. He enjoys audiobooks, long drives, and spending time with family.

Amelia received her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University in Family Life and Human Development and later earned a Master of Marriage and Family from Utah Valley University. She is Level 1 Gottman Certified.
Amelia takes a client-centered approach to therapy and works within her client’s value system to promote change. She works with couples and individuals facing a variety of challenges including anxiety and depression, faith transitions, grief and bereavement, sexual challenges, emotional abuse, and relationship issues, among others. Amelia believes approaching therapy with a compassionate, empathetic, and open mind can help clients feel comfortable opening up about the tender parts of their lives. She enjoys challenging clients and watching them grow as they engage in the process of change. Amelia has an eclectic approach and uses models such as CBT, Narrative, EFT, Gottman Couples Therapy, and other humanistic models of therapy.

Mary received a bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies/Arabic from Brigham Young University, a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at the University of York (UK), and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William & Mary. Her varied educational background helps her approach clients holistically and account for the various factors that impact a person’s life.
Mary takes a humanist approach to counseling. Using an integrative and eclectic approach, Mary seeks to help clients discover their inner strengths, gain insight, accept themselves fully, and promote growth and change. She works with clients struggling with a variety of concerns, including depression, trauma, anxiety, ADHD, life and faith transitions, health concerns, and life skills. She has training in EMDR, somatic therapy, DBT, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and CBT, as well as other modalities that are adaptable to meet clients’ needs. Mary has a background in family law and can help navigate turbulent waters associated with those cases, such as divorce and custody issues, including partnership and intimacy issues, family dynamics, and boundary setting. She is also available to do ADHD testing.
Originally from Colorado, Mary loves spending time with family and friends. She is an avid reader/book buyer, M&M eater, gluten-free baker, and escape room enthusiast. She loves philosophizing, traveling, and stargazing and is always looking for a good book series to enjoy.

Jamal received his Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He has over a decade of experience working with adults and adolescents in psychiatric residential settings and outpatient settings.
Jamal works with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, behavioral or emotional issues, suicidality, self-harm, grief and loss, and pornography. He is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based orientations, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Martin has a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro-UW. He also has degrees from BYU-Hawaii, and UC-Denver, and received an honorary doctorate that was entirely unjustified.
Martin is particularly interested in helping people who are new to therapy or who may not be sure what they need but know that they want help. Martin became a therapist after a lot of life experience. He uses a variety of evidence-based therapy methods to help with depression, anxiety, addiction, and marriage struggles. He believes that therapy really can help after trauma and that good therapy can help anyone live a richer and more full life. Additionally, as a multicultural person, Martin can offer a unique perspective on cultural and identity issues.
